Justice & Witness

What are we as disciples of Jesus to do about:

  • Poverty and injustice.
  • Illness and disease.
  • Homelessness and illiteracy.
  • Unemployment and hopelessness.
  • Prejudice and discrimination.
  • War and conflict.
  • The Middle East - Palestine & Israel.
  • Environment and global warming.

Ever since "The Fall", our world has been scarred by injustice. In Scripture's first account, Cain - after having murdered Abel - asked God, "Am I my brother's keeper?" God hears the cries of injustice from his people.

Jesus calls us to hear these cries today and to minister to those who are ignored, lost, marginalized, and ignored in our society. This ministry team helps churches address these issues in our rural and urban communities.

Our Justice & Witness Team meets on a regular basis. If you have a passion for Justice & Witness ministries in covenant with the work of the wider United Church of Christ, our team may just be for you! Please contact our Conference Minister here to learn more about how you can be a part of this exciting team in our Conference.

Your church can make an impact in the life of others!
