Penn West Conference Annual Gathering & Meeting

For the second consecutive year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Annual Gathering & Meeting is changing into a Zoom Annual Meeting. A registration form is here, and you may register online using this link: A schedule is here. There will be a technology test, for those new to Zoom, on Friday, June 11, from 6-7 PM, followed by a conversation on the budget for anyone interested from 7-8 PM. Then, on Saturday, June 12, we are asking people to enter the waiting room anytime from 8:00-8:45 AM. You will be “checked in” and entered into the Zoom meeting. At 9 AM, the Annual Meeting will begin, and it should end by noon. Everyone who registers for the Annual Meeting will receive information for joining both the June 11 and June 12 Zoom meetings at a time closer to those dates.

Our theme is “Imagining the Future,” and our scripture focus is Jeremiah 29:1-14. Our keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. John C. Dorhauer, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ. His biographical sketch is here.

There will also be workshops held via Zoom on Friday, June 4, from 6-8 PM, and Saturday, June 5, from 9 AM to 1 PM. A schedule for these may be found here. You don’t need to register for the Annual Gathering & Meeting in order to participate in the workshops. Zoom information for the workshops will be sent closer to the time in a snippet to everyone who is on our e-newsletter list and in an email to those pastors for whom we have email addresses. If you don’t have an email address and want to participate, please notify our office. When you have the Zoom information, you may just Zoom in for any workshop at any part of the day that you wish.
