63rd Penn West Conference Annual Gathering & Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Penn West Conference is scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 202 W. Union St., Somerset PA. The theme will be “I Will Pour out my Spirit,” and the focus scripture will be Acts 2:1-21. Some highlights that we are looking forward to include:

Approval of Keystone Conference Constitution & Bylaws
Election of Board members to the Keystone Conference Board

These items will move forward pending a favorable vote on the motion that our four PA UCC Conferences are presenting to General Synod in July. We also plan to have conversations about our six Associations possibly sharing ministry together moving forward as a single “Penn West Association.” There is a lot to talk about and much to celebrate about the ministry we are doing together. Please note that all youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who are responsible for the behavior and safety of their youth. Youth must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times; no separate youth supervision will be available. And if you are planning to offer a speak-out, please inform our Office Secretary Andrea Kopcak about this, along with your topic, sometime before Tuesday, June 3.
