Introduction

The Ministry Programs in the Penn West Conference support and encourage local churches and pastoral and lay leaders in creating deep, inspired life-giving ministry. These Ministry Programs are there for you. Take advantage! Enhance the ministries in and through your local church.

These Ministry Programs and the Ministry Teams will help your church advance God’s Mission of the Realm of Love - the movement for the sake of the broken world Jesus redeemed.

Reaching Others

  • Strengthen and build churches where faith in Jesus Christ is shared.
  • Provide opportunities to educate children facing poverty and hopeless situations.
  • Caring for our retired clergy and spouses, as well as emergency support for pastors.
  • Offer health and human care in clinics and hospitals.
  • Provide agricultural and technological training.
  • Respond to disasters - natural and human.
  • Make possible refugee resettlement.

Discipleship

Churches are discovering faithful ways to be disciples, living witnesses, of Christ. Ministries and missions through Conference Ministry Teams support and encourage churches. The Conference Ministry Team offers:

  • Transformation and renewal of churches.
  • Evangelism to share God's love.
  • Search and call for ministerial and pastoral leadership.
  • Stewardship to bless others with God's goodness.
  • Inspiring worship to worship God.
  • Insight into changing cultural patterns.
  • Support for identifying and using spiritual gifts for ministries and missions.
  • Consultation to find reconciliation through times of conflict.
  • Training resources for these and other ministries.
