Welcome to the Penn West Conference Web Presence.

The Penn West Conference Web presence is to communicate the ministries and missions that the churches – pastors and lay members – are doing to live and advance God’s Mission. God’s Mission is the transformation of the World God loves. God’s love is eternal and calls all – the lost, lonely, least and losers – to the banquet of God’s grace. Jesus was and is the new creation witnessed in his life, death, and resurrections. We experienced God’s new kingdom in and Jesus. God’s Holy Spirit is at work to create through us God’s transformation of the world.

At the 44th Annual Meeting, Rev. Ozzie Smith asked:

 “Does God’s Mission have a church?”

The churches in the Penn West Conference and “Yes!” We are passionate about bring a living witness to God’s Realm of Love. We center our life in Jesus Christ, the head and spirit of our churches. We are transforming our congregations to deepen the experience of God and Christ and to open our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit. We are creating new traditions building on the heritage of our past for generations to come. We live in a post-Christian culture, as the early church. Rather than seeking to return to a complacent past, we embrace the opportunities and challenges that are ahead, deepening our experience of God’s Kingdom that is now born here and among us.

Thanks to God for the eternal Love that seeks all and for the Realm of Love that is now and yet to be.
